ABOUT
Alexa Roosevelt is a 29-year-old actor, dancer, singer, and model based in Ridgewood, New York. She earned her BFA in Acting from the SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory in 2018.
Most recently, Alexa originated the roles of Dr. Graves and Melinda in Butchery Lessons at The Tank Theater, directed by Cameron King. She also made appearances on the latest season of Succession and Law & Order.
She is an active presence in New York City’s performance scene, working as a showgirl and performance artist with The Box and Rox Republic, a host for Susanne Bartsch’s On Top at Le Bain, and a burlesque performer at The Stranger & Nurse Bettie. Her recent screen credits include starring in the "Big In Da Game" music video by KidSuper, Quavo, and Giggs; Frankie Grande’s "Rhythm of Love"; and a live performance with Lil Nas X.
Alexa is a longtime collaborator with Rara Avis Productions, an immersive repertory company based at Sands Point Preserve. Together, they create large-scale immersive productions and independent films throughout the year.
Outside of her performance work, Alexa writes and produces original films and music, and narrates audiobooks for Audible. Her short film If Gators Could Fly—which she wrote and starred in—screened at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, HollyShorts, Miami Film Gate, and Reunion NYC over the past year.
