ABOUT
Alexa Roosevelt is a 30 year old actor, dancer, singer, and model based in Ridgewood, New York. She earned her BFA in Acting from the SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory in 2018.
Alexa has received positive press regarding her most recent portrayals. Most recently, for Vera Claythorne in "And Then There Were None" at the South Shore Theater of LI. Also, for her current portrayal of Thea Elvsted in BACCA's production of "HEDDA GABLER," running through June 1st. In television, she has made appearances in the latest season "Succession" and "Law & Order."
She is an active presence in New York City’s performance scene, working as a showgirl and performance artist with Masquerade, The Box, and Rox Republic, serving as a host for Susanne Bartsch’s "On Top" at Le Bain, and performing burlesque at The Stranger & Nurse Bettie. More recent screen credits include starring in the "Big In Da Game" music video by KidSuper, Quavo, and Giggs; Frankie Grande’s "Rhythm of Love"; and a live performance with Lil Nas X.
Alexa is a longtime collaborator with Rara Avis Productions, an immersive repertory company based at Sands Point Preserve. Together, they create large-scale immersive productions and independent films throughout the year.
Outside of her performance work, Alexa writes and produces original films and music, and narr audiobooks for Audible. Her short film "If Gators Could Fly"—which she wrote and starred in—screened at the Beverly Hills Festival, HollyShorts, Miami Film Gate, and Reunion NYC the past year.
